Supervision and Consultation for Clinical Social Workers

 I am a NASW Certified Clinical Social Work Supervisor who enjoys helping Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associates (NC) earn their full licensure, and consulting with LCSWs to improve their clinical social work practice.  I am supervisee-centered in style, but have a wide range of training and study from approaches I pull from to guide my supervisees including:

Having worked in community health and mental health services for 15 years prior to private practice, I understand the realities of the pressures front line Clinical Social Workers experience in agencies and community institutions.  I employ a "Mentoring and Modeling" approach to Clinical Supervision, explicitly to support your sense of safety in supervision, your conceptual and practical competencies, and address Self-of-Clinician blocks to effective client engagement and empowerment.

I offer LCSWA supervision in a couple of formats:
1. Individual Supervision -
  • If I am your primary supervisor ("Supervisor of Record") I require the work I supervise be conducted under your own private practice with me as an independent contractor to your practice, but I can help you with referrals if needed (*I will only give referrals to providers who have completed formal post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy via ICEEFT (www.iceeft.com - Externship minimum requirement).  Should you decide to pursue Certification in EFT, fees for EFT Supervision provided by me are in addition to LCSWA supervision).  LCSWA providers in this arrangement need to show proof of organization of a PLLC, appropriate clinical setting (office and/or telehealth), and current professional liability insurance in addition to proof of licensure and Board records for supervision. Supervision fee in this arrangement is $150/hour.
  • If I am a supplementary or secondary supervisor (i.e. not the primary supervisor of record), I require that you allow me to speak with your primary supervisor routinely to coordinate supervision plans.  The cost is $150 per 60-minute session on a supervisee-designated frequency in this arrangement.  If you work in an agency, we can discuss reduced fee arrangements if my full fee is inaccessible.
  • Half of your total supervision sessions can be held via online video calls (i.e. Zoom Conferences).  Your computer must be able to run Zoom Conferences, have a web camera and microphone, and have access to a high speed internet connection in order to participate in online supervision sessions.
  • For fully licensed LCSWs in private practice my fee is $150/hour.  For fully licensed LCSWs in agency practice we can discuss reduced fee arrangements if my full fee is inaccessible.
